Hi guys,

Few days ago, I have read a news about a four year old Syrian girl 'surrending' to a photographer which she thought the camera was gun.

Its really heart-breaking to see this photo where normally children will hide at a corner from a camera with a smile. You can read more about it in here.

This have make me think of the literacy rate of youth in some ongoing armed conflicts countries in recent years. We will study the literacy rate of youth based on selecting gender from parameter. Then, we can select a country from map for the view of conflict happen and repectives start year. Besides, to study respective conflict just by clicking on the title of it will bring us to destination we wanted.

Let's get back into this dashboard first.

On the map, it show that female have lower literacy rate than male in some country like Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, or Ethiopia which almost is half of the literacy rate of male. This may cause by the culture where males have the privileged to receive education and females are destined to work for support economics of their families.

Besides, countries with more ongoing conflict has shown both gender's literacy rate are lower than other country due to economics of respective country have serious depression. In the end, young generation are lacking of education which has caused them have no awareness on improve their living condition. This has become a circulation where youth with low literacy rate will blindly follow those adults who join to these violence conflict.
